June 16: Change the World Day

This month, young adults in our Project Stewardship program will be participating with other community members at The Garden at St. Francis where they Grow to Give… donating fresh organic produce to The Long Island Council of Churches Food Pantry in Freeport, NY and other pantries who feed the hungry in our midst. We will enjoy a fun and healthy day volunteering outdoors together!

Collaboration on Change the World Day includes garden beautification projects guided by Garden Co-Chair, Susan Salem and hands-on, light construction projects directed by Malcolm Hall of Bellmore United Methodist Church. A variety of tasks will be available for volunteers to pursue while we enjoy community bonding, skill building and fun with peers!

Friends and family members are welcome to participate! Refreshments served. But, feel free to bring a picnic lunch. And… We are privileged to have Tom Ryan, a local musician, perform on guitar for us again this year!

Raindate is Saturday, June 16th.
