This month, young adults in our Project Stewardship program will be participating with other community members at The Garden at St. Francis where they Grow to Give… All are welcome!
The garden began by donating fresh organic produce to The Long Island Council of Churches Food Pantry in Freeport, NY and has in the 8th season, extended feeding the hungry in our midst by supporting the Freeport INN, the food pantry at St. Frances de Chantel in Wantagh and the Bellmore/Merrick Central High School District’s, Community Cupboard as well as local families and individuals
Collaboration on Change the World Day includes garden beautification projects guided by Garden Co-Chair, Susan Salem and hands-on, light construction projects directed by Malcolm Hall of Bellmore United Methodist Church. Christine Keller will provide planting activity for our children and all who are interested! A variety of tasks will be available for volunteers to pursue while we enjoy community bonding, skill building and outdoor time together!
Friends and family members are welcome to participate! Refreshments served. But, feel free to bring a picnic lunch.
