March 10: Mammals at the Garden

This month our Project Stewardship group is thrilled to have Eric Powers of Your Connection to Nature come in to show and tell… “What Makes a Mammal a Mammal”. As per Eric’s program description: Mammals certainly hold a special place in the human heart, or else we wouldn’t have cats and dogs living in our homes! Join us for this lively presentation as we explore the fascinating characteristics of Mammals, including whales, bats, raccoons, bears, cows, horses, and so many more. A VERY hands-on approach to learning, we will be touching a whole array of furs, bones, and skulls, as well as meeting LIVE Mammals! It might be a Hedgehog, Chinchilla, or some other child-friendly mammal. And two large and adorable Therapy Dogs, Gangsta and Bailey… Eric will share mammal facts galore!

Project Stewardship is our program for young adults (monthly meetings/workshops and outings in addition to volunteer/internship placements) providing opportunities for participants to find and follow their bliss while connecting with and helping others in the process!  MAKE NEW FRIENDS • BUILD SKILLS • GAIN LIFE-ENHANCING EXPERIENCES.
