November 15: Video Production Class

This month our Project Stewardship group will be participating in a Video Production course at SUNY College at Old Westbury with Media & Communications professor, Dr. Ozgur Akgun. We will be there for ONE class session and then participate with college students in relation to their final projects to gain some direct exposure during a second  session in December.

The goal of the course is to use audio-visual tools to communicate in creative and effective ways, and not to simply mirror television and commercial films. Hands-on practice with video equipment and screenings of completed works will help to illustrate different production values and develop a framework for critical analysis.

After the first class session, we will receive a tour of the TV Studio. After second class session, we can stay and ask questions or have snack at the campus cafe and discuss what participants have learned.
