October 13: TECA Conference 2017

The Children’s Sangha will be partnering with Twice Exceptional Children’s Advocacy (TECA) on their 2017 Conference: Building 2e Awareness & Community at Molloy College. Christine Keller, M.A., M.S.Ed. will be offering a break out session – Kids in the Middle: Cultivating Different Abilities to Foster Self-Determination and Resilience (and) moderating/participating in the panel discussion – Post High School Options for All Kinds of 2e Minds and Abilities.

This annual event features a full day of of programming specifically designed for the families of 2e children & teens including: Informative workshops, Panel discussions, Networking, and and Resources.  If you know a child who is really bright, really curious, and really struggling in school or with peers, this is a conference you’ll want to attend!

The keynote speaker, Katherine Ellison is a Pulitzer Prize-winning former foreign correspondent and author of
Buzz: A Year of Paying Attention and ADHD: What Everyone Needs to Know. Keynote Topic – We’re In This Together: Staying In Your 2e Kid’s Corner Through Challenges and Triumph’s.

Psychologists, therapists, educators, lawyers and advocates working with 2e children and their families will share their insights and expertise across a variety of topics including identification, evaluations, talent development, advocacy, programs, home/school connections, interventions and more. This event is co-sponsored by the Molloy College School of Social Work.
