October 15: Autism Community Walk & Resource Fair

The Children’s Sangha will be participating in the Autism Community Walk this month. We will have a table to meet and discuss the interests and needs of individuals with Autism and their families, providing general guidance and referrals to our programs and services and/or those of our community partners.

In addition to “the walk” (1.5 miles of flat surface) around the beautiful, natural setting of Belmont Lake State Park, participants can engage in a number of healthy and fun activities such as Zumba, line dancing, yoga, crafts, massage, services dogs, and visit a variety of vendor tables.

Funds raised during this event will go towards addressing the unmet needs of people living with Autism and related disorders and their families including research, advocacy and outreach. Autism Community Walk, Inc. aims to provide a way for families and people affected by Autism to receive the ongoing representation before New York legislators, the State Regents, and other decision making bodies. For more information, visit the Autism Community Walk, Inc. web site.

Please stop by The Children’s Sangha table. We look forward to seeing you there!
