October 28: 2e-Twice Exceptional Movie

Please join The Children’s Sangha and our The Long Island Progressive Education Alliance (LIPEA) for a film screening of the 2e: Twice Exceptional Movie being held at and co-sponsored by Molloy College. This special event is being organized and hosted by TECA (Twice Exceptional Children’s Advocacy) and is a collaborative effort kicking off our IMAGINE Campaign!*

ABOUT THE FILM:  From the director, Thomas Ropelewski of CHILD OF GIANTS: My Journey with Maynard Dixon and Dorothea Lange.  2e: Twice Exceptional follows the personal journeys of a unique group of high school students in Los Angeles who have been identified as “twice exceptional” – gifted or highly gifted individuals with learning disabilities or differences. They are geniuses, mavericks and dreamers – Malcolm Gladwell’s budding “outliers.” Featuring illuminating and thought-provoking interviews with students, parents, teachers, psychologists and therapists, 2e: Twice Exceptional will touch your lives and communicate more about the many 2e children and their “hidden disabilities” and often “masked giftedness”.
