We are at a critical time in regard to New York State Education Reform. Many are calling for us to stand together and take action so that the NYS Board of Regents, the Interim Commissioner of Education and the NYS Legislators will resist the strategies that are causing harm to our children while undermining the integrity of our public schools based on Governor Cuomo’s and Chancellor Tisch’s misguided education reforms and related budget negotiations. It is a time to unite about and advocate for the betterment of our education system.
There are meetings being held across NYS where you can learn more about what’s happening. A Reclaiming Public Education (Less Testing, More Teaching) meeting will take place at the Brookside School, 1260 Meadowbrook Road, Merrick, NY this Tuesday, March 31st at 7:30pm.
