If you’re new to the Collaborative & Proactive Solutions model, this three-hour training is a great way to learn the basics of the model. And if you’re an old hand, this training is a great way to get refreshed on the basics of the model and get your questions answered. But it’s only for parents!
As you may already know, the CPS model doesn’t really distinguish kids based on psychiatric diagnosis. So whether your kid has been diagnosed with ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, an autism spectrum disorder — or all or none of the above — your goal is the same: figure out your child’s lagging skills and unsolved problems and start solving those problems collaboratively and proactively.
Taught by Dr. Greene, in this training you’ll learn the key themes/big shifts of the CPS model, get oriented to the assessment tool of the model (the Assessment of Lagging Skills and Unsolved Problems), and learn the basics of solving problems collaboratively. There will also be lots of opportunity for Q & A.
Lecture, video demonstration, and Q & A will be used as the primary means of instruction.
