March 24: L.I. Women’s Diversity Summit / March for Our Lives

In honor of Women’s History Month, the Long Island Women’s Diversity Network is hosting a summit! This is an opportunity to showcase contributions to our vibrant and diverse community. The Summit is a project of Every Child Matters, together with community members, established organizations, leaders of newer awareness raising groups and co-sponsored by SUNY College at Old Westbury (School of Arts and Science and Women’s Center). The intent of this Summit is to connect and empower LI Women so that they can mobilize each other and create positive changes on LI through a more unified sisterhood. The summit will accomplish this through:

  • Educating Long Islanders around issues and policies that challenge our unity as Long Islanders.
  • Empowering women to break down barriers for improved inclusion and advocacy for all
  • Celebrating our diverse backgrounds in a variety of ways!

SUNY College at Old Westbury is co-sponsoring the summit and will partake as part of the campus Interfaith Project. The Children’s Sangha is working with the advisory board, will have a table and provide student volunteers.

We welcome all who are interested in coming together as a collaborative community to join us, learn more and position yourself to take action along with others in any area that resonates with you. It will be an enjoyable and educational day!
