The Children’s Sangha will be participating with Twice Exceptional Children’s Advocacy (TECA) on their 2018 Conference: Building 2e Awareness & Community at Molloy College. Christine Keller, M.A., M.S.Ed. will be a panel moderator during the session 3 panel: 2e for Life: Helping 2e Kids Self-Identify, Self-Advocate and Self-Actualize. Additionally, we will have a table to discuss our programs and services as well as offering our Project Stewardship young adults with volunteer opportunities.
Join TECA for a full day of more than a dozen workshops and panel discussions, networking and resources for parents of 2e kids and the professionals who work with them! This year will feature introductory and advanced topics related to parenting twice exceptional children, as well as a professional track for those who work with 2e students and their families or would like to deepen their knowledge of twice exceptionality.
Keynote: Dr. Michael Postma, Executive Director, Supporting the Emotional Needs of the Gifted (SENG) and author of “The Inconvenient Student” (and) Featuring: Dr. Lois Baldwin, 2e Education Expert, Co-Founder and President of the Association for Gifted and Underachieving Students (AEGUS).
The event will end with award-winning director Tom Ropelewski in attendance and a special screening of his new documentary film: 2e2: Teaching the Twice Exceptional.
